The Verona Quartet named themselves after one of the plays of the greatest storytellers of all time, William Shakespeare, knowing that music can be a powerful way to tell stories. With members from four different countries -- Canada, Britain, Singapore and the United States -- the four string players celebrate that belief and the chamber music that unites them.
Visiting the Vineyard in 2018 and 2019 they are now a renowned quartet on four continents with glowing reviews that often follow their performances (including Lincoln Center & Carnegie Hall). The NY Times called them an “outstanding ensemble” and In 2020 they won Chamber Music America’s coveted 2020 Cleveland Quartet Award. In 2021 they released their debut album ‘Diffusion’.
