A Far Cry Quartet NOTE: (Due to unforeseen circumstances Far Cry will be a trio this Sunday. We wish violinist Annie Rabbat a speedy recovery.) On July 30th “A Far Cry” Chamber Group performs at the Chilmark Community Center at 4 p.m. in a program of Carolyn Shaw, Antonin Dvorak and Quinn Mason. Called a “world-wide phenomenon” by Boston’s WBUR, A Far Cry has nurtured a distinct approach to music-making since its founding in 2007, leading to consistently thoughtful, innovative programming, and impactful collaborations with celebrated performers and composers. They received two Grammy nominations for their album Visions and Variations.
